Who is this for?
Haulers who’ve submitted their SMS registration and are waiting to send their first text.
Before we start, a quick recap on the SMS registration process:
Registration moves through 2 stages.
Carriers (i.e. AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.) confirm you are who you say you are; typically takes 1-3 business days.
Carriers review whether what you want to text is legitimate and meets their requirements. This is human-reviewed, not automated, and may take a few business days to weeks. Hauler Hero cannot expedite this.
We’ll keep you updated as your registration status changes. You don’t need to do anything while you wait.
What can slow down carrier review?
Most delays come from one or more of the following:
The business name or EIN you provided doesn’t match what’s on file with the IRS.
Your sample messages don’t clearly reflect the types of texts you’ll be sending.
Your opt-in description is vague or doesn’t clearly explain how customers agree to receive your texts.
Any issues with your privacy policy (most often it not being publicly accessible).
Note if any of these apply, your SMS registration may be rejected instead of just delayed.
What happens if my registration is rejected?
You'll be provided a rejection notice explaining the issue. You can then make corrections and resubmit. If you’re unsure what to fix or need help, contact Support and we’ll walk through it with you.
What happens when I’m approved?
You’ll see your registration status update to Verified in Hauler Hero and our team will follow up to get your number ready. You’ll typically be able to send your first text that same day.
