🚧 As of October 2026, Hauler Hero Messaging is currently in beta with a limited group of users.
Once you’ve registered to use Hauler Hero CRM’s Messaging Add-On, you can then send SMS via Messaging > New Message (formerly “Broadcast”).
It’s very straightforward: write your message, select your recipients, preview your message, and send it! In this article, we’ll cover:
How to send a text via New Message
How to text a customer list (also known as an “account group”)
How to see whether or not your message went through
Before we start
Your company needs to be registered to use SMS.
Your user’s role also needs the Messaging permission set to Full to send messages.
How do I send a SMS via New Message?
Go to Messaging > New Message. Alternatively, click the blue New Message button if you’re on Messaging > Dashboard.
Click Add Recipients.
From Groups & Lists, you can select one of Hauler Hero CRM’s pre-defined aging bucket groups, or one of the dynamic or static groups you or your team have created.
You can also search for specific customers if you’re creating a message for a one-off group of recipients.
After you’ve selected your recipients, type up your message, taking note of the preview to the right.
Once you’re happy with your message, click Send in the bottom-left corner to send out your SMS.
Note that when drafting SMS, you’ll see a “segment count” near the bottom. Carriers typically split SMS into multiple segments, usually ~160 characters per segments. This is important to take note of as SMS billing is done with respect to segments, not messages.
How do I review analytics on my SMS?
From Messaging > Dashboard you can see a list of all the SMS you’ve sent as well as some high-level analytics across your messages about the list of messages.
When opening a message, you can see analytics specific to that message, as well as a list of recipients who were included in that message’s send.
In the Recipients list, you can also see the Status of each individual message.
Sent -- Sent to the customer's phone carrier
Delivered -- The carrier confirmed the customer received it
Failed -- The text didn't go through; Details says why
Pending or Queued -- Still on its way
