If I cancel my subscription, do I get to keep my store?
No. If you cancel your Atlas subscription, you will lose access to all Atlas features and your theme license immediately. However, your content is not deleted. Your theme remains in your Shopify account, and all your Atlas feature configurations are saved on our end. Everything will be fully accessible again if you resubscribe.

What happens when you cancel
Cancellation takes effect immediately. As soon as you confirm, the following will happen:
Your Atlas theme will stop working on your live store.
All premium features will be disabled, including Cart Upsell, Bundler, Sales Pages, and AI Product Photos.
You will no longer be able to edit your theme through the Atlas app, as theme editing requires an active subscription.
Any AI-generated stores, product pages, and Atlas-powered content will no longer be visible to your customers.
This applies regardless of where you are in your billing cycle. There is no grace period after cancellation.
What gets preserved and where
While you lose access to features, your content is not deleted. Here's where everything lives:
In your Shopify account:
Your Atlas theme and all customizations remain installed in your Shopify account. They are not removed or deleted when you cancel. However, as long as you do not manually delete the theme from your Shopify admin, it will be there and ready to use when you resubscribe.
On Atlas servers:
All of your Atlas feature configurations are saved on our servers. This includes your Cart Upsell, Bundler, Sales Pages, AI Product Photos settings, and any other app data. Everything will be fully restored when you resubscribe.
Important: if you delete the Atlas theme from your Shopify account while your subscription is inactive, that theme data will be lost. As long as you leave it installed, everything will be ready to go when you come back.
What happens when you resubscribe
Once you resubscribe, everything is restored:
Your Atlas theme will be reactivated (as long as it was not deleted from your Shopify account).
All of your feature configurations will be available exactly as you left them.
Your previous settings and credits will still be there.
You can pick up right where you left off.
If you previously uninstalled the Atlas app, you'll need to reinstall it from the Shopify App Store first, then subscribe to a plan.
A note on reinstalling: if you uninstall and then reinstall the Atlas app, there are rare cases where Shopify may charge you for the previous plan in addition to the new one. If this happens, contact our team through live chat by typing "Speak to an agent" in the chat window, or by emailing us at support@helloatlas.io, and we'll resolve the duplicate charge for you.
Lifetime theme license option
If you want to stop paying for Atlas but keep your theme active on your store, consider the lifetime theme license. This option keeps your Atlas theme running without an active subscription.
Keep in mind that the lifetime license covers the theme only. Premium features like Cart Upsell, Bundler, Sales Pages, AI Product Photos, and theme editing through the Atlas app are not included. Those require an active subscription.
