Everything you build is normally assigned to a project when you create it. Items become unassigned when the project holding them is deleted, or when you remove them deliberately. This covers moving one item, moving many at once, and what assignment actually changes.

Assigning one item
Every row in the dashboard table has a Move to project icon, next to Edit and Delete. It works the same way on the full lists you open from the link under the table.
Find the row on the dashboard, on any of the

Move to projecticon on that row. Your projects open in a list headedMove to project, with a check mark next to the project the item is in now.Choose the project you want.
Atlas confirms with the project's name, for example Assigned to Skincare launch. If it fails you will see Failed to assign to project. Try again. If the destination already holds 25 items, the move is refused with Projects can have a maximum of 25 items, and the options are under When a project is full, below.
With no projects yet, the list shows No projects yet. Create one first with New project in the project dropdown above the table: see Creating and managing projects.
On a phone, the row's actions sit together in one menu. Choose Move to project there to see the same list of projects.
Assigning several at once
Moving several items at once works on the full lists, not on the dashboard table itself. Open one from the link under the table, such as View all bundles or View all stores and pages. Every tab there except All lets you select rows.
Select the checkbox on each row you want to move. The checkbox in the header selects every row on the page.

Move to project. While rows are selected, the toolbar shows how many you have selected, for example3 selected,Move to project,Deleteand aClear selectionicon.Search with
Search projectsif you have many, then choose the destination.
Once every row on the page is selected, Select all with the number of matching items, for example Select all 42, extends the selection to every matching item in the list. It is not offered on the Product pages tab, while a Draft or Published filter is on, or on Stores while you are searching.
The list of projects shows how full each one is out of its 25 items, for example 12/25, so you can see at a glance which have room. A project with no room shows Project full and cannot be chosen. If your selection is larger than the space left, the project shows, for example, 20/25 used — not enough room for 8 when you have selected 8, and cannot be chosen either, so Atlas never moves some items and fails on the rest.
Atlas confirms with how many it moved, for example Moved 5 to the project. If it fails you will see Couldn't move them to the project. Try again., or, if the project filled up in the meantime, how much room is left, for example This project only has room for 3 more.
ℹ️ Moving several at once only picks up items that are not in a project yet. Items already in a project stay where they are and are counted as skipped, for example Moved 4 to the project (2 skipped). To move an item from one project to another, use Move to project on its row.
Removing an item from a project
Select Move to project on the row and choose Remove from project, below the list of projects. Atlas confirms with Removed from project, and the item becomes unassigned. Remove from project only appears for an item that is in a project.
Unassigned is a normal state, not an error. Unassigned items still work, still appear in your lists, and still serve customers if they are published.
If removal fails you will see Failed to remove from project.
Finding unassigned items
An unassigned item has no project, so it only appears when All projects is picked in the project dropdown. The table does not show each row's project, and there is no filter for unassigned items. To check one item, open Move to project on its row: an unassigned item has no check mark next to any project, and no Remove from project.
What assignment changes, and what it does not

ℹ️ Moving a page into a project does not rewrite it with that project's voice or research. Project context is applied when a page is generated, not when it is filed. To apply a new project's voice, build a new page or a page variation inside that project.
When a project is full
Each project holds up to 25 items. If the destination is full you have three options:
Move something out of it first.
Delete items you no longer need. Drafts are usually safe to delete and have no effect on your store or your bill.
Create a new project. You can have up to 25.
