A discount code reduces what you pay for your Atlas subscription. You can apply one when starting your trial or later from your subscription page. By the end of this the code will be applied, or you will know exactly why it was rejected.

Applying a code when you start
On the pricing screen before your trial begins:

A valid code confirms with {percentage}% off applied. Your free trial is unchanged. and the start button becomes Start trial with {percentage}% off.
Applying a code later
From your subscription page:
Select
Subscriptionin the Atlas menu.On the
Plan detailstab, findDiscount code.Enter the code and select
Apply.
Applied codes show as Applied ({percentage}% off).
What each message means
Each rejection names a different cause, so read the wording rather than assuming the code is wrong.

💡 Invalid code usually means a typo rather than a dead code. Codes are normally case-insensitive, but a trailing space copied from an email is a real and common cause. Retype it by hand.
What a discount does and does not change
It reduces the amount you pay. A 20% discount takes $39 to $31.20 for the periods it covers.
It does not change your trial. Atlas is explicit: Your free trial is unchanged. A discount does not lengthen or shorten the free period.
It does not change your allowances. You still get 10 published pages, $1,000 of bundle revenue and 250 cart orders included.
ℹ️ Whether the discount applies to usage charges as well as the base plan depends on the code. If that matters to you, ask whoever issued it before relying on it.
Not the same as the affiliate programme
A discount code reduces your bill. The affiliate programme pays you a recurring commission for referring other merchants to Atlas. They are unrelated.
If a valid code will not apply
Retype it by hand rather than pasting, to eliminate hidden characters.
Check where you are applying it. Some codes are intended for signup and may behave differently later.
Check whether the store has used it before. Codes are typically once per store, and a reinstall does not reset that.
Wait a moment and retry if you saw
Couldn't check that code. Try again.
Still rejected? Start a chat from the bubble in the bottom right of Atlas, or email support@helloatlas.io. Include your store URL, the exact code, the exact message, and where you got the code from. That last detail matters, because it tells support which campaign the code belongs to.
