Sending a Vacancy Portal

Learn how to send a vacancy portal in AssistCV and what your client will see.

Sending a Client Update

When you have opened AssistCV inside a vacancy, you'll find this option in the toolbar, on the top right-hand side of your portal, circled below.

The option to send a client update is only available when your vacancy portal is published, giving you a quick way to message a client from inside AssistCV. This could be either to let them know the portal is published for the first time or to let them know about any updates you've made. The email address of your client(s) will pull through from the company contact list against the client in Bullhorn and, on sending a message for the first time, the status of your active candidates will be updated to 'CV Sent' in Bullhorn.

Here's a copy of the message your clients will receive each time.

It includes the link to view the vacancy portal and the password they need to access it (unless you've toggled this off in the settings menu).

The message you input will replace the {{message}} tag and your name will be added automatically so no need to add that.

Copy Invitation

This is an alternative option for sending an update to your clients. By clicking this button, shown below, the link and password will be copied to your clipboard. You can then paste this into an email for sending on. This will also mark the active candidates as 'CV Sent' in Bullhorn the first time you send the vacancy portal.

A preview of the template is below and you can edit it as needed.

Hi

Your candidate shortlist for [Vacancy portal title will pull through here] has been updated.

To see what's new, click here >> (the link will be added automatically).

To gain access, use your own email address and the following password: [the password you've set will appear here].

Thanks

What Your Client Sees

When your client first clicks on their portal link they'll be presented with a page to enter their email address and the portal password, if one has been set, as shown below.

Email Verification

For security purposes, by default, a one-time passcode is required to gain access to the AssistCV portal, although this can be toggled off in the security section of the settings tab if you prefer. When on, the passcode will be generated automatically and sent by email. The code will work for 30 days, as long as the portal is being accessed from the same browser.
