How Your Hiring Managers Interact with Your Vacancy Portal

Understand the different ways your Hiring Managers can interact with your vacancy portal and what this means for you.

Written by AssistCV

Once you've shared a vacancy portal with your Hiring Manager, there are various ways they can interact with it. These are described below, including what this means for you.

You can see what your Hiring Managers see by entering preview mode. You can also send yourself a link to go through the exact journey they'll go through when receiving a vacancy portal.

Grid & Kanban View

The default view is set by Admin users in the AssistCV Settings tab of the Admin Dashboard. More on that here >>

Grid is the standard view whereas Kanban provides added management options in the form of swimlanes. When in Kanban view, candidates can be moved from 'Shortlisted' - which is where they begin - to 'Interviewing', 'Offer Made' or 'Rejected'.

When a Hiring Manager moves a candidate, they'll be prompted to leave a reason before pressing save to confirm the change, as shown below. This is optional when moving the candidate to 'Interviewing' or 'Offer Made' but is required when rejecting a candidate, ensuring you have a reason in each case.

You'll receive an email notification any time there's activity on your AssistCV portals, meaning you're always in control.

Interview & Callback Requests

When your Hiring Manager wants to interview or discuss a candidate, they can request this from inside the portal. Interview requests are specific to each applicant and are requested from the candidate card. Callback requests are more generic, and accessible when they click on your profile. Once a request has been made, it will appear in the 'Requests' tab in your menu. You'll be notified by email every time a request is made so you can follow up.

Find out more about your requests here >>

Group Chats

Everyone who has accessed your portal will also be able to see and send instant messages in Group Chats, unless you've turned this off in the Settings tab. This includes your client and anyone they may have shared the portal with.

Hiring Data

As noted, all users will be kept up to date with notifications as activity happens in the vacancy portal. In addition to this, users have access to valuable hiring data. This is accessed from the Analytics tab in your main menu. To find out more about Analytics, click here >>

Download Candidate Profile

When Hiring Managers click on a candidate card, they can download a PDF of the branded profile and any documents you may have uploaded.
