Recording Prompt Sound
Due to legal and regulatory requirements in certain regions, a brief "Recording started" notification sound will be played to all parties on the call when a recording begins, ensuring that all participants are aware of the ongoing recording.
This notification sound is enabled by default but can be turned off in the app.
First-Time Setup
After updating the app to the latest version and completing the initial pairing with your earbuds, if the recording prompt sound is currently enabled, a prompt sound information page will automatically appear.
This page explains that once a call recording starts, viaim will play a brief notification sound to all call participants to indicate that recording has begun.
You may opt to disable this sound. You will then be prompted to check a box acknowledging that you have read and accepted the associated responsibility statement.
How to Manage the Recording Prompt Sound
You can also enable or disable the recording prompt sound at any time after the initial setup. To do so:
Connect your earbuds to the viaim app.
Tap the earbuds icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
Tap Earbuds Settings.
Toggle the Prompt Sound button on or off as needed.
