The Claim Management menu has been designed to capture key claim information to meet specific requirements within each jurisdiction. The side-menu will change accordingly if you have different jurisdictional policies within your account.
This article will give you an overview of the side-menu options available for the Comcare self-insurance jurisdiction with links to relevant articles to review.
Claim Data
The Claim Data page is designed to capture claim details that must be submitted to your regulator and is divided into five sections;

Employment Details
Incident Details

Activity
To access the Claim Data page, go to the injury or claim record and select the Claim Data option underneath the Claim Management heading.

Claim Documents
The Claim Document page stores key documentation for easy reference e.g. the initial notification, register of injury, incident report, claim forms, or general correspondence.

Claim Reviews
The Claim Reviews page provides an in-built system form to record any reviews undertaken throughout the life of a claim.

Legal
The Legal page has been designed to capture information relating to Reconsiderations, Court Proceedings and Appeals that are required to be reported to the regulator. The Legal page also allows you to capture all other legal matters for easy reference.
The Legal page is segmented to help you navigate through all the required information as well as store notes and documents relating to legal matters.

Liability Status
The Liability Status page presents as a read-only page for self-insured jurisdictions. The page displays all liability statuses applied throughout the life of the claim and is divided into three columns so that all updates can be easily seen (Liability Status Date, Liability Status and Date Created).
To update the liability decision on a self-insured Comcare claim, go to the Claim Data page. There are several ways to access the Claim Data page from within a record;
Go to the page directly via the Claim Management menu > Claim Data;
Selecting Claim Data from the Add Information dropdown on the Summary page;
Selecting the Claim Data tile from the Claim Progress section of the Summary page; or
Pressing the quick key for Claim Data 'C'
Timeframes
The Timeframes page has been designed to help capture statutory timeframes for decision-making on Comcare claims. The page can be found under the Claim Management section in the side-menu of a record.
