When creating a landing page in Innercrowd, you can configure exactly which consent types are collected from contacts who submit the form. This ensures that every contact who signs up through your landing page is stored in your database with the correct consent status.
This article covers the consent settings specifically. For a full walkthrough of creating a landing page, please refer to this article about how to create a landing page.
Configuring Consent in Your Landing Page
During the Form Settings step of the landing page editor, you will find a Consent block. This block is included by default and controls how consent is collected from contacts who submit the form.
When expanded, the Consent block contains the following settings:
Consent label Edit the text that appears next to the consent checkbox. The default text is "By submitting this form, you consent to being contacted via WhatsApp and email." Make sure this text accurately reflects the consent types you have selected.
Consent types Select which consent types are linked to this consent block. By default, Email and WhatsApp are selected. You can add additional consent types, including any custom consent types you have created. Check out this article on how to create a custom consent type.
Required field When enabled, contacts must tick the consent checkbox before they can submit the form.
Auto accept When enabled, consent is automatically granted when the form is submitted, without requiring the contact to tick a checkbox.
You can add multiple consent blocks by clicking + Add consent, for example, to collect consent for different concepts separately.
Note: Make sure your consent label always accurately reflects the consent types you have selected. If you add a custom consent type, update the label accordingly so contacts know exactly what they are consenting to.
