If your ID keeps getting rejected due to photo issues, here are some tips and options to help you complete the process smoothly.
Tips for clearer ID photos:
Do not place the ID on your screen. Hold it in front of the webcam
Look at your screen and check if your full name is readable and ensure that your face on the ID is easily recognizable.
Hold your ID close to the camera so it fills the green outline.
Wait a few seconds to let your camera focus.
Wipe the camera lens to remove any dust or smudges.
Use natural or diffused lighting to avoid harsh shadows or glare.
Workaround: If Your Webcam Can’t Focus
If you’re stuck using a blurry or low-quality webcam:
Take a photo of your ID using your phone.
Open the photo/image on your phone.
Hold your phone up to your webcam and capture the image that way.
This trick may help when using older or low-resolution webcams.
"ID Text is Not Readable" or "No Face Detected on ID"
If you receive a message stating "ID text is not readable" or "No face detected on ID," the system will require you to retake the photo up to two times. - Sample image below:
If you attempt a third time and still see the message, you will be prompted with: "Continue with submitting this photo? It may be flagged as invalid." At this point, the "Submit photo" button will be available. - Sample image below:
Please proceed to submit the photo. After you finish your activity, if our human proctors find that your ID is unreadable, you will receive a secure email with a resubmission link. You can easily complete the resubmission from your mobile phone for better camera resolution results.
Note: For privacy and security reasons, the system does not store your ID but requires a clear image for verification.
