Please note that ID resubmission is only applicable for activities that have already been completed and require resubmission of verification for specific reasons. If your concern is regarding initial verification, kindly mention that in the chat or refer to this article: ID Verification Guide
You may be asked to resubmit your ID if:
The image was blurry or out of focus
Your name or photo wasn’t clearly visible
You used an unapproved ID type
The details didn’t match the original submission
No image was detected or uploaded
The photo on the ID did not resemble your current appearance, making it hard to verify your identity
The ID type submitted was incorrect (e.g., unapproved ID types like passports or employee IDs)
The name on the ID did not match the name registered in your activity account
A face photo is always submitted during the process, so the ID photo must show a clear and current likeness to help reviewers confirm your identity.
Check the email we sent titled “Action: Resubmission Required.”
You can find the specific reason or comment in the same email, just below your flagged photo, allowing you to resubmit accordingly — examples:
“A focused image must be submitted.”
“The first, last name and photo must be visible.”
“Submit an approved ID.”
Identity Verification sample photo:
The first photo should be a clear picture of yourself.
The second photo should be a clear image of your ID.
How to Resubmit Your ID
We recommend using your mobile device for clearer photos for ID resubmissions. Follow these steps to use your smartphone:
Open the resubmission link provided in your email by clicking “Action: Resubmission Required” using a secure mobile browser (e.g., Chrome for Android or Safari for iPhone).
Make sure to keep the camera steady and take photos in a well-lit environment.
Ensure that your ID is shown clearly, highlighting your full name and photograph.
Tips for Taking a Clear Photo of Your ID
If using a computer webcam:
Hold your ID close until it fills the green outline
Wait for your camera to auto-focus
Use a well-lit area; avoid light sources behind you
Clean your webcam lens- Position yourself in a well-lit area so your face and ID are evenly illuminated.
Ensure your browser has camera permissions enabled to prevent technical issues.
If using a smartphone:
Place the ID on a flat surface
Hold your phone steady
Use a secure browser: Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone)- Ensure a stable internet connection while capturing and uploading photos.
Be attentive to align your ID card properly within the capture frame and ensure clarity.
Still blurry?
Try this workaround: Use your phone to take a clear photo of your ID → View the image on your phone → Hold the phone up to your desktop webcam (ensuring it fits within the frame) to capture and submit the image.
Common Questions
Why is my ID photo blurry when I take it? Your camera may not be focusing properly. Try cleaning the lens, using better lighting, or switching to a smartphone. Additionally, if the issue persists, consider switching to a different browser, such as Google Chrome, which may resolve compatibility issues.
I resubmitted multiple times. Why does it still fail? Make sure your ID is held close, fully inside the frame, and not blocked by your fingers or glare. Also, avoid showing your ID on a screen — we need the physical card. If the name on your ID does not match your account name, contact your activity provider to update your account details before resubmitting.
My webcam won't focus on my ID. What should I do?
My webcam won't focus on my ID. What should I do?
Try using your smartphone to take the photo and follow the steps above for submitting from your mobile device. If using your webcam is unavoidable, ensure your camera permissions are enabled, and your surroundings are well-lit. Give the camera time to auto-focus and hold your ID steady in front of the webcam.
Provider-Specific ID Requirements Some activity providers have unique ID requirements. For example:
Alertdriving: Requires a driver’s license and does not accept passports or resident ID cards.
Food Safety Training: Requires the name on your account to match the name on your government-issued ID. Contacting Support for Further Assistance If you have followed all the steps and your ID photo is still not accepted, contact your activity provider directly for further assistance. They can provide additional guidance or override Integrity Advocate’s findings if necessary.
