Our identity verification process uses Scanbot technology. The system can detect if:
No ID was submitted
The submitted ID does not include a photo
The submitted ID does not contain readable text
The photo quality is blurry or unclear
How to Complete Verification:
Step 1:
Open and start your activity. Kindly accept the privacy policy. Integrity Advocate will first prompt you to take a selfie—please ensure your photo is clear and well-lit.
Step 2:
Proceed to the ID verification stage. Prepare your identification card and click “Begin taking photo.” - Sample image below:
Step 3:
Automatic capture is enabled by default. Hold your ID steady in front of the camera and wait for it to focus and capture the image. - Sample images below:
If auto-capture does not detect a clear image and auto capture, you can disable it and manually take the photo by clicking the camera icon with “A” beside the loading indicator. - Sample image below:
Step 4:
You are allowed unlimited retakes. The first two attempts will automatically require retakes if the image is unclear. On the third attempt, a “Submit photo” button will appear along with a possible warning flag.
If you believe your photo is clear and readable for our human proctors to identify, you may proceed by clicking “Submit photo.” - Sample image below:
"Edit photo" Here’s how:
For data privacy concerns regarding your ID details, you'll have the option to "Edit photo." Here’s how:
Click "Edit photo" button and drag over the area you want to block (such as your ID number or address).
Release your mouse or finger; the selected area will be covered.
Once you’re satisfied with the edits, save the edited photo and submit it.
This allows you to show only what’s only needed: your full name and face.
"ID Text is Not Readable" or "No Face Detected on ID"
If you receive a message stating "ID text is not readable" or "No face detected on ID," the system will require you to retake the photo up to two times. - Sample image below:
If you attempt a third time and still see the message, you will be prompted with: "Continue submitting? A human reviewer will asses it." At this point, the "Submit photo" button will be available. - Sample image below:
Please proceed to submit the photo. After you finish your activity, if our human proctors find that your ID is unreadable, you will receive a secure email with a resubmission link. You can easily complete the resubmission from your mobile phone for better camera resolution results.

If the activity provider does not require an ID to proceed.
If you have previously completed the activity and your ID was approved, our system will auto-validate your identity for future activities, as long as it recognizes the same individual participating again. In such cases, you will not need to retake an ID photo. Additionally, the Auto-Validate Identification feature may recognize previously approved IDs and match them to your facial structure, eliminating the need for retaking ID photos in some cases.
