A how to guide to help authors get started and creating courses in iQualify

This article covers how and where to get started in create and some ideas for where you can find some extra help when your ready for your next steps.

How to create your course, first section and first page

  1. When in Create, select + Create new content then give your course a name and Save.

  2. Select Continue course setup to start creating your first section.

  3. Give your first section a name and select the green tick to save.

  4. Use the Cog on the right to Add a page.

  5. Give your page a name, then use the cog to Preview/Edit.

How to add content to a page

Now you are viewing a page.

  1. Use the + to see the various content elements you can add e.g. text, video, task, image or an embedded tool.

  2. Add your next content element by selecting the + again.

  3. Rearrange content elements using the up or down arrows on the right.

  4. Use the pencil by the page title or the page icon in the top right to open and edit the Page settings.

How to add more pages

Use Contents or + to Add page.

How to arrange your content

You can structure your course under content (where you first started).

  1. Get back there using the back arrow by the course title.

  2. You can change the order of your content quickly and easily by dragging and dropping and group your pages into sections and subsections.
