It can be helpful to understand what your learners see when viewing their courses in iQualify, especially in comparison to your view as a facilitator.

For a quick overview, check out the video below designed for learners to help them navigate their courses. After that, read on to discover the key differences between your view as a facilitator and that of your learners.

Differences under My courses

My courses (the dashboard) displays all courses you have been added to.

It's nearly identical for learners and facilitators. The exception being that the courses you facilitate have a Facilitate button whereas courses where you are only a learner have Go to course home or Continue course.

Class console vs course overview

For facilitators, Class console replaces Overview in the left menu.

If you would like to see the Overview as a facilitator, you can select the name of the course from in the Class console to be taken to that page.

Tip: You can also find the overview by returning to your My courses dashboard and selecting Overview on the course card rather than Facilitate.

Differences in left menu

Along with Overview being replaced by Class console for facilitators, there are some other differences to your view of the left menu compared to that of a learner.

Learners also do not see the Activity feed. This is a facilitator-only view which when selected, displays a list of any new Social notes.

Aside from those differences facilitators and learners both have access to the remaining options including: My courses, Contents, Downloads, Search, Tasks, Notes and Talk.

Note: Facilitators must select the More icon to see Tasks, Notes and Talk.

Differences to course content

Select Contents from the left menu to explore course content just as a learner would. One notable difference is that you may see the option to Add LTI, which aren't visible to learners.

Learn more: The Add LTI option allows facilitators to add LTI applications or webpage integrations if these have been set up for the course by a manage user.

Head back to the Class Console at anytime by selecting the Class Console on the left menu.
