As an author you can add assessment items to your course for the learner to download and complete.

These files can be material that the learner will need to use to complete the assessment or it can be the actual assessment for the learner to complete and send to an instructor or facilitator.

How to:

To add assessment items, navigate to the main page of the course and select Assessment description from the menu on the left.

Provide a description to students on the way the course will be assessed, once completed, click the green arrow on top of the page.

This will take you to the Assessment items page. To add a new assessment item, click the green +.

Four links will appear: Open response, File upload, Video and Other activity.

  • Select Open response if you would like learners to submit an open response to a question.

  • Select File upload if you are providing an assessment for the learner to complete.

  • Select Video if you would like learners to upload a video assessment.

  • Select Other activity if you are providing instructions for an external assessment. A marking checkbox will need to be selected if this activity is to be marked in iQualify.

Attachments can be uploaded for learners to refer to when completing the assessment.

You will now see the newly added assessment on the Assessment items page. You can add additional files and assessments by clicking the + Add Assessments.

Note: If you create an assessed quiz, it will automatically be added to the 'Assessment items' tab on the course.
