Why there is no option to automatically update all plugins

Updated over a year ago

Auto-updates are available by default for plugins from wp.org

We did not add such an opportunity for our plugins because it's important to create a backup before the plugin update. This applies not only to our plugins but to all others.

When you update manually you can always check the changes. For example, there could be errors or changes after the update due to the website's configuration. When you create a backup before the update and then update manually, you can always protect your website or roll back to the previous version.

As an alternative, you can use management systems to update plugins, such as Main WP or Manage WP.
