Before you can add versioned custom metrics in your data request, ensure that your custom metrics have been created:

  1. Under the ‘Set-up’ section in the navigation panel on the left, navigate to the ‘custom metric’ library

  2. Click the three dots under ‘actions’ next to the metric you would like to use for your new reporting year

  3. Click ‘clone’

  4. A new ‘draft’ version of your custom metric will be created that is not yet active in any years

5. Under the same ‘set-up’ section, go into your data request

6. In section 2. Frameworks and metrics, click into ‘edit’

7. Scroll through the metric library to find the custom metric you would like to add to your data request

8. Click to select the metric

9. A box will pop up for you to select the correct versioned metric, select the metric that is in draft

10. Save your metric selection

11. When you go back into your custom metric library, you will now see that the metric has been launched and which year it has been launched in

12. You can now edit the name of your custom metric to remove the ‘draft’ part by clicking into the three dots and selecting ‘edit’

13. This will take you to the custom metric editor, select the pencil next to the metric name to change it
