Ensuring Meeting Invitations are Compatible

  • Requirement: Include a link from services like Google, Teams, or Microsoft in the calendar invite.

  • Note: Links from scheduling services like Calendly are not recognized by the bot.

  • Action: Verify the meeting appears in your calendar and is marked correctly.

Individual Calendar Connection Required

  • Issue: Admin connecting a calendar using another user's credentials.

  • Solution: Each user must personally click 'connect calendar' after workspace setup to ensure proper registration.

Granting Bot Permissions

  • Action: Actively grant permission to the bot when prompted by a dialog.

  • Note: This permission must be explicitly accepted for the bot to function properly.

Regularly Review Bot Settings

  • Recommendation:

    • External Recording: Enable 'Recording External' and disable other options to ensure the bot can participate in meetings.

    • Internal Recording: If you also want to record internal meetings, you can enable 'Record Internal'. However, when enabling 'Record Internal' for internal meetings, ensure that these meetings are conducted within the same domain to avoid participation issues. Mixing domains may result in internal meetings not being recorded.

    • Verify Settings: Ensure your current settings are configured correctly as intended. Misunderstanding the settings can lead to meetings not being recorded, even if the bot is functioning correctly. Double-check your settings to confirm they align with your recording needs.
