Adding your student's goals/objectives will help you target specific areas they need to improve for their IEP!
β¨ Getting Started
Follow these steps to add goals for your students when setting up your caseload:
If you haven't added IEP start/end dates yet, make sure to add that info by selecting 'Add IEP' and then enter the student's IEP details, then click 'Save IEP.'β

Eligibility
IEP Start Date
IEP End Date
Eval Due Date
Specially Designed Instruction
Duration (i.e. number of minutes/hours)
Frequency (i.e. number of times the service will be provided during a given time period)
Time (i.e. service provided daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly)
Location (i.e. school, virtual, push-in vs pullout services)
2. After adding IEP dates, navigate to the Goals page and choose one of the following options:
βOption #1: Bulk import goals using a CSV spreadsheet file
βOption #2: Copy/paste goals from your IEP software
Click 'Add your first goal to Kit' and then enter the following info:
IEP Goal Text: A comprehensive statement of the goal as stated in the IEP
(e.x. The student will improve his reading comprehension skills by identifying the main idea and supporting details in a text, given graphic organizers, scoring 80% accuracy on comprehension assessments over three consecutive assessments as measured by weekly reading comprehension assessments and teacher observation.)
βNote: This information appears in reports and when hovering over the goal in Instruction.Goal at a Glance (Optional): A brief 2-3 word description of the goal
(e.x. identify main idea, multi-step addition).If you'd like to add objectives to a goal, click Add objective.
Once done, select 'Create Goal' and you are all set!

Short on time? You can also add goals in a session event with the 'Add Goal' option to the right of your student's name.

Note: If your student does not have an active IEP, you will be prompted to create one in order to add goals from your session event.

While Kit doesnβt store files in a personal library, you can attach PDFs or links (like Google Docs or websites) to individual instruction events to reference and use during sessions. You can also upload finished work samples or store audio recording of students in an instruction event.
