You can generate discount codes on Let's Do This from your Organiser Dashboard whenever you like.

Using the Codes tool, you have the ability to create codes that:

  • apply to specific events, distances, and/or tickets

  • include/exclude merch, add-ons, booking fees

  • are set as a percentage, an absolute value

  • have a maximum usage limit or expiry date

Creating a discount code

First, find the Codes section of the dashboard, click on the Growth tab at the top of your dashboard.

Once there, click on the blue Create button on the right hand side:

Choose a name for your code, and set its value. Codes can either be :

  • Percentages - eg 15% off

  • Absolute values - eg £15 off

Next, choose what you want your discount code to apply to - everything in the participant's basket (excluding donations, if there is one), or a custom selection of line items - eg tickets, booking fees, merch, or booking form items.

You also have the option to limit the number of times the code an be used, as well as set an expiry date.

Finally, choose where you would like your new code to be applicable. Codes can be applicable for specific events, specific distances within events, specific tickets, or a mixture of all the above.

If you want your Code to apply to all events, simply leave the 'All Events' box ticked.

Once happy, save your code. You'll now be able to see it listed on the Codes section of the dashboard.

You can edit, remove, or create a deep link for your code at any time. Select it from your list of codes, click Modify, and then choose your preferred option.

FAQs

How many times can a discount code be used?

This is up to you - if you only want a code to be used a certain amount of times, enter your desired amount into the 'limit usage' box. If you don't want to set a cap just leave the box blank.

Who pays for discount codes?

Discounts are taken from your organiser funds. LDT commission is taken from the original ticket price before discount.
