TL;DR: You can invite co-parents or tutors to your account to manage lessons and track progress together without sharing your password.
Homeschooling is often a team effort! Whether you are working with a partner or a tutor, LearnSpark makes it easy to share the workload. You can invite others to help while keeping your own personal password safe and private.
Who are Collaborators?
Collaborators are extra people you invite to join your account. They get their own login to your LearnSpark experience. This allows them to help with daily tasks while you stay in total control of the account.
Collaborators can help you with things like:
Creating SparkAI lessons and multi-session projects.
Updating Student Profiles with new interests.
Managing the weekly schedule and logging activities like reading or outdoor time.
How to Invite a Collaborator
Bringing someone new onto your team is simple. Just follow these steps:
Go to Settings: Click your profile icon and select Settings.
Open Account Access: Look for the Collaborators or Account Access section in your menu.
Send an Invite: Click the button to invite a user and enter their email address.
Set Permissions: Choose between admin or user level access.
Pick Students and Features: Select exactly which students the person can see and which features (like Lessons or Adventures) they can use.
💡 Good to know: Your guest will get an email with a special invite token. Once they click it, they can set up their own password and start helping you right away!
Understanding Permission Levels
You decide how much power each helper has. There are two main roles you can assign:
Admin: This person has full access. They can see billing details, change account settings, and invite or remove other people. This is usually best for co-parents.
User: This is a standard role for tutors. They can use the features you allow, but they cannot see your billing info or manage other users.
Important: You can make a user even more restricted by choosing only specific students they are allowed to see. This is very helpful if you have a tutor who only handles one subject for one child.
Collaboration and SparkAI Credits
All collaborators share the same pool of SparkAI credits. Credits are used for almost everything functional on the platform. This includes generating lessons, planning adventures, and background tasks like updating mastery profiles or analyzing curriculum gaps.
Since credits are shared, it’s a great idea to chat with your team about how you want to use them. If you run low, the main account holder can always buy top-up packs in the billing section.
⚠️ Heads up: Only the primary owner or an admin can buy more credits or change your subscription plan.
Managing and Removing Users
You can change a person's access or remove them at any time. Simply go back to the Account Access page and click Edit or Remove next to their name. Their access will stop immediately. You're in charge!
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I stop a collaborator from using certain features?
Absolutely. You can choose which features (like Lessons, Projects, or Adventures) each helper is allowed to use when you set up their access.
How do they join my account?
LearnSpark sends them an email invitation. They just need to click the link inside to accept the invite and create their own login details.
Do I have to pay extra for each collaborator?
No, adding collaborators to your personal account is free. Just keep in mind that they will use SparkAI credits from your shared account balance.
