Setting up the Goal Update

In the Learned platform, your employees can get started with different types of goals. They can set goals themselves, but they can also be assigned to them. It is then up to them to get to work on their goals and therefore independently track their progress. Through 'Goal Updates' you can help them with this as Admin.

A Goal Update is a recurring task on the employee's Homescreen that allows them to easily update the progress on all open goals within the active timeframe. You can activate this task via Goals - Settings.

Then you have the following options:

  • Deadline for the task: What day of the week should the Goal Update be completed?

  • Repeat task every X weeks: Set a repeat pattern. For example, the task will appear on the employee's Homescreen every 4 weeks.

  • Show the task X days before the deadline: For example, this will only show the task on the employee's Homescreen 3 days before the deadline.

  • Remove the task X days after the deadline: This ensures that the task automatically disappears from the employee's task list, for example, 2 days after the deadline, regardless of whether it has actually been completed.

  • Send an email notification when the task is available.

  • Send an email notification on the day of the deadline.

Note: Any changes you make to the settings will be available the next day.

Getting started with the Goal Update

Depending on the settings mentioned above, the employees will start working on the task for their Goal Update. This can be on the Homescreen, but with a large number of tasks it may be necessary to click through to the complete task list using the arrow.

By clicking open the task you will see all the goals for which you have the 'Owner' rights. This means that you have the rights to update the progress of the goals (and/or the associated activities). When you're done, press 'Complete' at the top right.

Note: Apart from Goal Updates, you can update progress on goals at any time from the Goals page.
