[New] Overview of Versions in LegalOn

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article explains the features of the new LegalOn. For information on the current version’s product features, please refer to this page.

This article explains the concept of versions and the version list, which are essential for managing contract revisions and tracking progress throughout the contract lifecycle.

What is a Version?

A version refers to a specific revision or edition of a contract or my template file.

  • The first uploaded file is considered V1.

  • Each time you upload a new revision, the version number increases (e.g., V2, V3, etc.).

In LegalOn, you can assign a status to each version to reflect its current stage.

What is a Version list?

A Version list allows you to manage and group all related versions of a contract or template file in one place.

By using the version list, you can:

  • Upload and organize contract versions

  • Assign statuses to each version

  • Compare text between versions (e.g., before and after review)

  • Streamline your version history tracking
