Hey there! Let's walk through how you can export your passwords from Safari and get them ready for importing into Lockwell. It's a simple step-by-step process. Please note that you'll need to have Safari version 15 or later for this feature to work.

  1. Open Safari: Start by launching the Safari browser on your device. Once opened, select "Safari" from the menu bar located at the top of the screen.

  2. Access Preferences: From the dropdown menu that appears, choose "Preferences."

  3. Navigate to Passwords: In the Preferences window, find and click on the "Passwords" icon.

  4. Authenticate: You might be asked to input your device's password for authentication purposes. Enter the password to proceed.

  5. Export Passwords: Once authenticated, you'll see a list of all your saved passwords. Here, locate and click on the icon representing three dots (ellipsis). Then, select "Export Passwords."

  6. Confirm Export: A message will pop up, asking you to confirm if you wish to export your passwords. Hit "Yes" or "Confirm" to continue.

  7. Save the File: Now, choose a location on your device to save this exported file. Don't forget to give the file a name you'll remember, and ensure it's saved as a CSV file.
