In this article, we will explore a few examples to go even further with automations by using the Order Placed trigger.


Increase customer loyalty

You can activate automations based on the "Order Placed" trigger, which will help strengthen your customers’ engagement and loyalty.

Offer more points for large orders

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter: "Products purchased" equal to 5, and a filter: "Order amount" greater than or equal to X €.

  3. Configure the action to award more points to these customers.

Add more points for engaged customers

  1. Select "Order Placed"as the automation trigger

  2. Add a profile filter on the number of missions.

  3. If the customer has already completed X missions, configure the action to award additional points to reward their engagement.

Identify and segment influencer customers

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to target customers with more than X Instagram followers and more than X TikTok followers.

  3. Configure the action to add these customers to an "Influencers" list, so you can easily target them later.

Add points for a purchase in a specific country

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to check the country code of the order.

  3. Configure the action to add 30 points to the eligible customers.

Add points for specific users

  2. Add a filter to check that the user belongs to list X.

Add to a specific list upon purchase

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a "Source" filter to check the purchase source.

  3. Configure the action to add the customer to a specific list.

Add a customer to a specific list when they purchase a specific product

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to check that the purchased product matches the targeted product.

  3. Configure the action to add the customer to the Nantes list.

Add different rewards based on your VIP tiers

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to check that the total amount spent by the customer is equal to or greater than X €.

  3. Add a Yes / No condition:

    • If the customer is in the Bronze tier → award 50 points.

    • If the customer is in the Silver tier → award 100 points.

    • If the customer is in the Gold tier → award 150 points.


Increase Average Order Value

Set up your automations to increase your customers’ average order value and maximize the impact of your program

Target influential customers across multiple markets

  1. If you have multiple markets with different languages, you can target each market by selecting the "Order Placed" trigger.

  2. Then, specify the language code corresponding to your market.

  3. Add a filter to select customers with a certain number of TikTok followers.

  4. Configure the action to award them a reward, encouraging them to make a second purchase and promote your brand.

Offer a discount code under specific conditions

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to check if the total order amount equals X.

  3. Add a Yes / No condition.

  4. Add a filter to check if the customer already has 2 rewards.

    • Yes (the customer already has 2 rewards and the amount = X) → do not offer anything.

    • No (the amount = X and the customer has no reward) → offer a 10% discount code.

Create a discount 30 days after the first purchase

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a 30-day delay.

  3. Add a filter to check that Number of orders = 1.

  4. Add a Yes / No condition:

    • Yes (the customer has not placed an order for more than 45 days) → create a discount code valid for 30 days.

    • No → do nothing.

Offer -X% for 30 days to customers who have spent more than X € in the year

  1. Select "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Add a filter to check that the total amount spent by the customer > X €.

  3. Configure the action to offer a -X% promo code valid for 30 days to the customer.

Add rewards based on VIP tier and average order value

  1. Add "Order Placed" as the automation trigger.

  2. Apply a filter to target only customers in the Gold tier.

  3. Add a Yes / No condition with a filter based on the customer’s average order value:

    • If the average order value is €50 → award 50 points.

    • If the average order value is €100 → award 100 points.

    • If the average order value is €150 → offer a promo code to encourage future purchases.
