How to Connect Microsoft Dynamics Business Central to LTL Select

The MS Dynamics integration syncs your contact data (customers and vendors) from Business Central directly into LTL Select. Instead of re-entering addresses manually, you can push contacts over with a click and have them ready to use when booking shipments.

What this integration does today:

  • Syncs customer and vendor contact data from Business Central to LTL Select

  • Keeps address books up to date across both platforms

What you'll need

  • Admin access to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

  • Access to the LTL Select Integrations Hub

Step 1: Get Your Integration Key from LTL Select

  1. In LTL Select, go to the Integrations tab

  2. Find the Microsoft Dynamics card and click Connect

  3. An integration key will be generated. Copy this key and keep it handy for later.

Step 2: Download the LTL Select Extension

In the same Microsoft Dynamics dialog in LTL Select, click the Download button to download the extension file to your computer.

Step 3: Upload the Extension in Business Central

  1. In Business Central, click the Gear icon in the top right

  2. Go to Advanced Settings

  3. Click Extensions

  4. Click Manage and then select Upload Extension

  5. Select the file you downloaded from LTL Select and click Open

  6. Check the box to accept the privacy policy

  7. Click Install

Installation takes about 2 to 3 minutes. You can go to Installation Status and refresh the page to check progress. When it shows as Completed, you're ready for the next step.

Step 4: Set Up the Integration in Business Central

Once the extension is installed:

  1. Use the search icon in Business Central and search for LTL Select Setup

  2. In the setup screen, paste your integration key (from Step 1) into the Integration ID field

  3. Navigate away from the field or click the save icon to confirm it's saved

  4. If you would like, you may Enable Auto Sync toggle in the LTL Select Setup screen in Business Central. Turn it on and any new or updated contacts will sync to LTL Select automatically without needing to send them individually.

Step 5: Sync a Contact to LTL Select

To send a customer or vendor to LTL Select:

  1. Open the customer or vendor record in Business Central

  2. Click Actions

  3. Select Send to LTL Select

You'll get a confirmation once it's been sent. The contact will then appear in your LTL Select address book, ready to use when booking shipments.

How to Disconnect

To disconnect from LTL Select only: Go to the Integrations Hub in LTL Select and click Disconnect on the Microsoft Dynamics card. This invalidates your integration key so no further data is sent.

To fully remove the extension from Business Central:

  1. Go to Gear icon > Advanced Settings > Extensions

  2. Search for the LTL Select extension

  3. Click Uninstall, then Unpublish
