Luggers will not have parking permits. The customer is responsible for providing the Luggers with safe, legal parking. This includes making sure any needed permits are in place for the Lugger once they arrive. You will be charged for any wait time while parking is sorted out. If legal and safe parking is not available or needed permits are not ready, the Lugg will have to be cancelled and you will be able to book at a later time when parking is ready for our arrival.
Luggers don't carry parking permits. If your pickup or drop-off locations require a permit or reserved parking, it's the customer's responsibility to have that arranged before your crew arrives.
This is important because labor time starts automatically when your Luggers arrive at each stop. If parking isn't available and your crew has to wait or circle the block, that time counts toward your labor minutes.
How to prepare
Check local parking rules — some neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and city streets require permits or have time-limited parking. Look into this before your Lugg is scheduled.
Reserve a loading zone or spot — if your building or city offers temporary loading zone permits, get one set up for your arrival window. Many cities let you apply online.
Communicate with your building — let your property manager or front desk know that movers will need access and parking on the day of your Lugg. If your building has a freight elevator or a reserved loading area, find out how to book it and share those details with your crew.
Share access details with your Luggers — include parking info, freight elevator access, and any building-specific instructions in the "What are you moving?" section when booking, or text it to your Luggers when they're en route.
Save a spot if you can — if you're on a busy street, consider holding a nearby spot for your Luggers so they can get started right away.
What happens if parking isn't available?
If safe, legal parking isn't available when your movers arrive and the situation can't be resolved quickly, your Lugg may need to be canceled. You can always rebook for a time when parking is ready. Remember, Lugg never charges for cancellations — just cancel before your crew is dispatched.
If a parking delay significantly impacts your labor time, reach out to our support team at support@lugg.com — we'll review the charges and make it right.
