Upgrading your LumaDock VPS lets you add more resources like RAM or CPU without redeploying your server. The upgrade is handled directly from the client area and billing is calculated automatically based on the remaining time in your current plan.
If your server is hitting resource limits or you plan to run heavier applications this is the fastest way to scale.
Important note: It's not currently possible to downgrade your plan using this method. If you still want to "downgrade", simply cancel your current server and deploy a new one.
Where VPS upgrades are available
Upgrades are managed from the LumaDock client dashboard. You do not need SSH access and no manual configuration is required to start the upgrade process.
The upgrade option is available for active VPS services only.
How to upgrade your LumaDock VPS
Step 1 – Open your active services
Log in to your LumaDock dashboard.
Go to Your Active Products/Services and locate the VPS you want to upgrade.
Click Manage to open the product details page.
Step 2 – Open the upgrade page
Inside the product details page select Upgrade.
You will be redirected to the upgrade screen where all available upgrade options are shown.
Step 3 – Choose an upgrade option
Select the configuration you want to upgrade to, such as moving from 2 GB RAM to 4 GB RAM.
The price shown is calculated automatically using a credit from the unused portion of your current plan and billing the new plan for the same remaining period.
You will see a clear breakdown in the order summary.
Step 4 – Apply a promo code if available
If you have a promotional code enter it in the Promotional Code field.
Click Validate Code to apply the discount before checkout.
Step 5 – Complete the checkout
Choose your payment method and click Checkout.
Once payment is confirmed, the upgrade task will start automatically.
