🛍️Takeout & Eat-In Orders

Starting orders that don't require a physical table number.

📋 Overview

In addition to table orders, the Maitre'D Virtuo supports two order types that don't require a physical table:

Order type

Description

Takeout Order

Customer is ordering food to take away. The order is linked to a takeout channel for reporting.

Eat-In Order

Customer is eating on-premises but without an assigned table (e.g. bar seat, standing order, or quick-service context).

🛍️ Starting a Takeout Order

From the dashboard, tap Takeout Order (or select it from the side nav menu). The order screen opens immediately — no table number or revenue center prompt appears. Browse categories and add items exactly as you would for a table order.

🍴 Starting an Eat-In Order

Tap Eat-In Order from the dashboard or side nav. Again, the order screen opens directly without a table number prompt.

Order screen (same interface as table orders)

The ordering interface — category groups, item grid, modifiers, seat management, and kitchen sending — works identically to table orders. See the Table Orders article for full details on building an order.
