Learn how to create a product in Makula Field Service to standardise asset creation with predefined fields, documentation, and parts.

How do I create a product?

Navigation: Open your Field Service workspace, then select Products from the sidebar.

  1. Click the + Add Product button in the top right corner.

  2. Complete the product details.

  3. Click Create Product.

The new product will appear in your Products list.


What fields can I configure in a product?

  • Product Name (Required): Enter a name for the product

  • Product Model (Required): Enter a unique identifier for the product

  • Description (Optional): Add details about the product

  • Image (Optional): Upload a visual reference

  • Custom Fields (Optional): Complete any additional fields configured in Settings


How do I add documentation to a product?

  1. Open the product you want to add documentation to.

  2. Go to the Documentation section.

  3. Click the + icon.

  4. Select Upload from the dropdown.

  5. Choose files or folders to upload.

  6. Click Upload.

Documentation added to a product is inherited by all assets created from it.


How do I assign parts to a product?

  1. Open the product you want to assign parts to.

  2. Go to the Parts tab.

  3. Click + Add Part.

  4. Select parts from your inventory.

  5. Click Save.

Parts assigned to a product are automatically included with all assets created from it.
