Creating an External Machinery Assistant

How do I access My Assistants?

Navigation: Open your Field Service workspace, then select AI Assistants from the sidebar. Click the Create Assistant button in the top right corner.


How do I create an External Machinery Assistant?

  1. Click on the External Machinery Assistant template or select Create Assistant and choose External Machinery Assistant.

  2. You will be prompted to choose where to deploy the assistant:

    • Asset: Select the Asset radio button and choose an asset from your assets.

    • Product: Select the Product radio button and pick the appropriate product. The assistant will be available for all assets created from this product, as long as the documentation stays connected.

  3. Provide a name and description for the assistant.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Select documents. You can only select from external documents attached to the selected asset or product. This ensures that the assistant uses only customer-facing information.

  6. Click Create Assistant to complete the setup.


How is an External Assistant deployed?

  • The External Assistant will be available to customers through the assets where it is deployed.

  • Only external documentation will be used to ensure appropriate information sharing.


What is the difference between Internal and External Assistants?

  • Internal Assistants can use both internal and external documents and are available to your internal team.

  • External Assistants use only external documents to maintain correct information access for customers.
