Clinicians can contribute to the maintenance of high quality content in Med App through being able to suggested edits to certain content. When processing suggested edits you can let the clinician know the outcome by sending the a push notification directly for the Action Item on the dashboard. Closing the loop on contributions in this way, encourages a positive loop of engagement with clinicians.

'Closing the loop' on User Edits to Content

Med App can allow users to submit edits to articles directly from the app. For a refresher on how this works click here!

To view, approve or deny these kind of edits just click on the 'Edits' tab when you are in the Action Items page.

When you want to approve or deny an edit that is submitted by a user, you can:

  1. Add a note: when a note is added, it will be visible in the history for the article. This is only for dashboard managers, and lets you keep track of how the article has changed.

  2. Send a notification to the person who submitted the edit: you can send a push notification directly to the clinician to acknowledge their contribution and let them know that their edit has been approved or denied. The message is fully customisable, but example wording is automatically provided. Note: the push notification will only be received by the clinician who submitted the edit.

  3. Notify all users that the article has been updated (if the edit is approved): if you approve the edit to the article, you can also notify everyone that it has changed. This push notification will only be sent to clinicians who are currently 'logged into' your location on the app.

Take a look at this video for a run through on how to approve or deny an edit and also close the loop with the clinician:
