How to use Med App to onboard clinicians to a hospital or clinical setting

The key to orientation is front loading the work long before orientation! No one likes to get to o-week feeling unprepared, so we have created and easy to follow guide based on consultation with many of the hospital's we work with.


Phase 1: Planting the Seed & Preparation

Good results are all about the prep work!

  1. Preparing the Communication Templates - For a successful introduction to your hospital, it’s important to prepare communication templates that drip feeds information at the appropriate time about administrative & clinical onboarding.

  2. Review and Update Content - It’s imperative that its contents be reviewed and updated before orientation; Term descriptions, 0-week schedules, key contact details, handbooks and handovers.

  3. Let Clinicians Know Early About What to Expect - It's important to give clinicians time to prepare for their new orientation, become familiar with.

When: At least 1 month before orientation


Phase 2: Onboarding clinicians to Med App and your Hospital

  1. Invite clinicians to Med App & provide links to critical resources.

  2. Invite clinicians to education and training providing notifications of upcoming sessions.

  3. Schedule push notifications For important reminders

When: At least 1 - 2 weeks before orientation


Phase 3: Orientation week

Most of the hard work is done.

  1. Maintain communication to provide support through targeted mobile push notifications

  2. Remind clinicians when and where they should be,

  3. Track onboarding progress and measure their satisfaction through feedback surveys

When: O-Week
