How to use Export Templates in the Sheetview

Learn how to create tailored templates for exporting your data.

The video below shows a quick visual of how to create export templates in Mediatool. To find out more information, please feel free to read through the steps that follow:

Step 1: Access Export Templates

  • In the Sheetview, click on the "Export" button

  • A new option "Create new template" will appear

Step 2: Creating a New Template

  • Name your template in the "Template Name" field

  • Enable the "Export to one sheet" option to include all selected media types in the same sheet (optional)

  • If you want to share the template with all organizations connected to your Parent account, turn on the "Share with all organizations connected to Parent account" option

Step 3: Customizing a New Template

  • In the "Template Editor", select the media type(s) you want to include in the export

  • Choose the fields you want to include and arrange them in the order you prefer

  • Customize the field heading titles and date format if needed

  • Note: all settings are automatically saved, so you can exit the view at any time.

Step 4: Exporting an Existing Template

  • From the Sheetview, click on the "Export" button and select the template you want to use

  • The data will be exported as an excel file

Step 5: Editing or Deleting a Template

  • To edit or delete a template, click on the "Edit" icon next to the template you want to modify

  • This will open the "Template Editor" where you can make changes or delete the template.
