A "preset filter" in Mentionlytics allows you to save a specific set of filter criteria for quick and repeated use across the platform. Instead of setting up the same filters each time, you can create a combination of filters (such as channels, time, sentiment, etc.) and save them as a preset.

Where you can use presets: They are available in all features of Mentionlytics, including Reports and Top Mentioners.

How to Create a Preset Filter

  1. Set up your filters using either:

    • Standard filters, or

    • Advanced Filtering options (Boolean search)

  2. Click to save as a Preset and give it a name

Example: You might create a preset called "Negative Ticket Comments" that shows mentions containing the word "ticket" in the Comment category with Negative sentiment.

Preset Save Options

When you save a preset, you can choose which settings to include:

  • Selected Channels - To save your channel selection to apply it every time

  • Checked Trackers - To automatically apply specific trackers with this preset

  • Filter Options and Query - They are pre-selected by default, but you can unselect if needed

  • Email Alert - Create an email alert based on this specific preset

Using Presets with Shared Dashboards

When sharing dashboards, you can also apply preset filters to customize the data your clients see, ensuring consistency and efficiency in reporting.
