Background Brushes

Within reports, brushes are utilized to fill backgrounds or to insert text. To change the brush style, select the dropdown next to Brush in the Object Inspector menu.

The six brush types are as follows:

  1. Empty – This brush type applies a transparent background to the selected component.

  2. Solid – This brush type allows the user to select the color to fill the background of the selected component.

  3. Hatch – This brush type applies a texture to the background of the selected component. Background and Foreground Colors can be specified independently.

  4. Gradient – This brush type applies a gradient to the background of the selected component. The colors can be specified.

  5. Glare – This brush type applies a Glare effect to the background of the selected component.

  6. Glass – This brush type applies a Glass effect to the background of the selected component.
