Troubleshooting: Missing UI in BSB

After installing Microvellum BSB, there may be an issue wherein the installation does not load correctly, with both the Microvellum UI and the startup screen of the software not appearing, even after successful license activation.

In this scenario, it is necessary to manually load the program’s files within the BricsCAD base. This can be done using BricsCAD commands.

  1. Open BSB or BricsCAD.

  2. Run the command APPLOAD, which will open an interface allowing one to manually load program files.

  3. Click the + button at the top of the interface. This will open the file explorer.

  4. Navigate to the program files for Microvellum BSB to locate the necessary files to load. The usual path for this is C:\Program Files\Microvellum\[Version of Microvellum BSB being used, such as “Microvellum V26 en_US”]\BSB.

  5. Within the folder, locate 2 files: Toolbox.des and Microvellum.Toolbox.dll. Select both and click ‘Open’.

  6. With both files in the interface, tick the boxes in the Autoload column, and click the "Load Selected Application" from the top.

    1. This will ensure that the Microvellum BSB components will launch when starting from then on.

  7. Close the interface.

  8. Run the command STARTUP and set the value to 0.

  9. If the Microvellum interface and login screen do not appear immediately, close and re-open the application.
