Troubleshooting: BSB Crashes when running on SQL

J
Written by Jordan Munoz

An issue may arise when operating Microvellum BSB via SQL, wherein the software may sometimes crash without explanation. This is an issue rooted in compatibility problems between the server and Microvellum BSB. An error message such as "Module path\C:\ System32\UCRT.DLL - NTDLL.DLL" will appear.

In order to solve the problem, the recommended procedure is to run the software in Compatibility Mode and determine if that fixes the issue.

  • Step 1: Right-click on the Microvellum BSB software application you are using and click “Properties” from the pop-up menu.

  • Step 2: Navigate to the “Compatibility” tab.

  • Step 3: Find the “Compatibility Mode” option and tick it active for Windows 8.

  • Step 4: Click Apply, then OK to close the pop-up menu.

  • Step 5: Launch the software as an administrator.
