One of the most significant ways to transform a template is by adding imagery that fulfills your brand needs.

🧠 Pro Tip: For overlays and underlays, the image you add will appear in every scene and layer above or below a given scene's elements, so it is best to stick to the imagery that universally applies, such as your logo or background color.

To start customizing, click on the New Element option to add an Image Element or click on the Image Element icon of an existing element to expand the Image Attribute Panel.

In this article, we'll cover:

Adding Images

From the Image Attribute Panel, select the Image button to open the Image Library. The Image Library is where any photo used in the Mutli-Touch creative lives.

You can upload your images by dragging and dropping them into the Select or Drag Images to Upload box or by clicking the box to upload photos from your device.

Recommended file types for image uploads are SVG, JPEG, PNG.

🧠 Pro Tip: If you are experiencing any loss in quality when scaling up or down, reformat and upload the image as a SVG file.

Choosing Images from Shutterstock

You can access a variety of imagery by selecting the Shutterstock option and searching through their expansive library of images.

  1. Start by clicking the Shutterstock button from the Image Attributes Panel.

  2. Next, use the search bar to enter keywords related to your image search. The image search will pull up various images in Shutterstock's asset library.

  3. Use the Filter and Sort options on the top-right to narrow your search results.

  4. Hover over the image and use the plus sign to add photos to your image library, or click the Apply & Use Now button to add the image to your creative immediately.

  5. Once you're done browsing, click the back arrow to close out of the Shutterstock view.

💡Note: You can simultaneously select multiple images and apply them to your image library. This helps keep a grouping of favorite images where you can see them and test each to see which works best for you.

Resizing Images

You have two options for resizing your image within your ad creative.

  • Resizing from Attributes Panel: You can resize your image within the Attributes Panel by entering the Width and Height in pixels of your desired size. You can also use the plus and minus signs to increase or decrease the image's size.

💡Note: Updating the image size from here will not lock the aspect ratio. Please confirm the image is not distorted.

  • Resizing in the Ad Workboard: You can edit the size from within the Multi-Touch creative workboard by using the bounding box to drag the corners or sides of the image element to resize it.

Moving Images

You have two options for moving your image within your ad creative.

  • Defining Pixel Placement: Using the Top and Left fields, you can specify where the element lives based on pixel placement. The Top field will determine the number of pixels between the ad frame's top edge and the image element's top edge. The Left field will define the number of pixels between the ad frame's left border and the image element's left edge.

  • Moving in the Ad Workboard: You can drag and drop the image element within the ad workboard to relocate the element to your desired position.

Aligning Images

The Element Align tool allows you to align the image element in relation to the ad frame. Alignments include top, horizontal center, bottom, left, vertical center, and right.
