If you change your internet provider, there is chance that the default gateway they use for the new router will be different to your original internet provider. In this case your POS terminal will no longer be able to connect to the internet.
To resolve this issue you will need to set your EPOS terminal to use DHCP, as follows:
You will need to navigate to the Windows desktop:
Under the EPOS Manager menu there is normally a button called Minimise to Desktop.
Open Network & Internet settings:
Click the Windows Start button (bottom left), then select "Settings" (the gear icon).
Click on "Network & Internet".
Choose your connection type:
If you're on an Ethernet network, select "Ethernet".
Open Change Adapter options:
Under Advanced network settings:
Tap Change adapter options.
A pop up window will now appear:
Double Tap on the Ethernet icon.
A 2nd pop up window will now appear:
Tap the Properties button.
A 3rd pop up window will now appear:
From the list, Tap the text "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP.IPv4)" so that the text is highlight blue.
Now tap the Properties button.
A 4th pop up window will now appear:
Tap "Obtain an IP address automatically".
Tap " Obtain DNS server address automatically".
Tap the OK button to finish the process.
The POS terminal should now be able to access the internet as long as it has a physical connection to the router.
Please contact Mobo Innovations for assistance or let us know if you have carried out this procedure as we will need to give the EPOS terminal a new fixed IP address if you are using things like Kitchen Screens, Touchmenu, Dojo Pay at Table, Pockettouch hand held ordering etc.
