Below is everything you need to know about where you can park, how to lock the bike, and how the app map works.

1. Where You Can Park (Map Zones Explained)

The map shows where you can ride, pause, and end your trip. The colours mean:

Green Zone (Parking allowed)

This is the only area where you can end your trip.

You must park at a public bike stand within a green zone.

  • When you have no active ride, you will see the green zones only.

  • When you start a ride, the map will show the P markers for the public bike stands within that green zone.

White Zone (Riding only)

You can ride here, but you cannot end your trip.

Rides must end inside a green zone at a public stand.

Red Zone (No parkin)g

You cannot end your trip here.

Ending a ride in a red zone results in an automatic €30 fine.

Light Blue Zone (Paid parking)

Paid parking areas (e.g., airport). Ending here applies a fee.

Dark Blue Zone (Discount parking)

Finish your ride here to save money.

Tip: Tap any zone in the app to see details.

2. How to Park Properly

All parking must be at public bike stands shown in the app map, inside a green parking zone.

Always park at a public bike stand

Never leave the bike against poles, railings, fences, gates, walls, or any non-designated object.

Lock the bike securely

Use the combination lock to attach the bike frame to the stand.

Ensure the lock is tight and clearly visible in your parking photo.

If the stand is full

Use the next closest stand shown on your map during your active ride.

Tethering

You may lock one MOBY bike to another that is already parked correctly.

❗ Improper parking may result in a €30 fine.

3. Submit a Clear Parking Photo

Your ride will only end after a valid photo is submitted.

Your photo must show:

  • The bike locked to a public stand

  • The lock clearly fastened

  • The surroundings visible

MOBY uses AI to detect incorrect parking.

If the photo does not clearly show correct parking, a €30 fine may apply.

4. Before You Ride

  • Scan the QR code

  • Unlock with the combination lock

  • Check brakes, tyres, saddle height

  • Follow local traffic rules

5. Summary of Parking Rules

✔ Park only at public bike stands

✔ Stand must be inside a green parking zone

✔ Lock the bike securely

✔ Submit a clear parking photo

✔ Follow zone colours and map rules

Incorrect parking or invalid photo submissions may result in a €30 fine, and repeated violations may lead to account suspension.
