Do I have to use the combination lock?

Yes. Using the lock is a condition of your rental.

During your ride

When you start a ride, unlock the bike from the public bike stand using the combination lock code shown in the app.

If you stop for a break, you must use the lock to secure the bike to a public bike stand.

Ending your ride

At the end of your journey, you must:

  1. Secure the bike to a public bike stand using the combination lock

  2. Lock the bike with the same code provided in the app

  3. Submit an end-ride photo clearly showing the bike tethered and locked to the stand

Pedal bikes

Pedal bikes use a cable lock instead of a combination code. The bike must still be securely locked to a public bike stand in the same way.

Why this matters

Locking bikes to public bike stands is a local council requirement and helps keep bikes available, accessible, and correctly parked.

Failure to lock the bike correctly at the end of your ride may result in a parking fine.
