Booking quotas management

It is common for travel agencies to have a limited number of booking slots available for accommodation, transport or other travel-related services. That is why, at MOGU, we have set up an effective system for those agencies that, as I have said, use a limited number of places and want to efficiently manage all their clients' bookings.

This system allows the management of booking quotas for different destinations, different rates (packages) and different payment methods (full payment or payment schedule). In addition, it offers tracking of all bookings including the status of payments, so that the agency knows how much it can expect for each trip.

When you select one of your trips, a summary like this will appear:

  • Total: final amount that the agency would earn if it sold all the seats

  • Places filled: number of places sold

  • Paid: amount already collected

  • Pending: amount pending collection (associated with a payment plan)

Real customer scenario

In this example we are going to see how an agency can access and manage the booking quotas of one of its trips, in this case a MICE type trip.

The first step that had to be taken to enable this option is to establish a limit of places in the trip settings:

The booking quotas can be seen within each trip, on the top right hand side of the header:

It is possible to expand it to see in detail the different packages available for that trip. In this example there is only one package (triple window cabin):

As we can see in the image above, the agency has a limit of 60 places for this end-of-year trip, of which 25 have already been booked.

Also, if we look at the places already booked, there is still 11.000€ pending payment. This is due to the fact that the payment method selected by these travellers has been the payment schedule. If we choose a traveller in the booking section and click on "see more" we will be able to access the details of the instalments and amounts:

We hope you will find this tool very useful and that you will be able to keep track of all your bookings and payments easily and in detail.
