This is a guide on how to navigate the Loan Officer Profiles feature inside Mortgage MarketSmart. It can be found under the "Profiles" tile from the Mortgage MarketSmart Welcome Screen.

In the Loan Officer Profile dashboard, you can view origination data for individual LOs. This tool is particularly useful when you are recruiting or researching loan officer performance in a specific market.

Use Cases

There are a lot of ways to use this dashboard, including:

  • Viewing origination data for LOs at your organization

  • Viewing origination data for competitor LOs

  • Finding LOs who perform well in your target segments as a hiring strategy

  • Discovering active and successful real estate partners in your markets or segments

  • Identifying LO performance trends over time

  • Understanding an LO's diverse lending metrics

  • And more

Here's how to use this Loan Officer Profile Dashboard.

1. Access the Profiles Tile

  • From the Welcome screen, click on the Profiles tile specifically Loan Officer Profiles. Expand the screen for more real estate by clicking on the three lines next to the Mortgage Market Smart icon in the upper left of the tool.

2. Select Market and Time Period

  • By default, you will be in the loan officer profile

  • Go to the MSA dropdown, type your target market (example: Richmond, Virginia), select the correct market and time period and click apply

  • Choose the time period (e.g., year to date) and hit apply

3. View Top Loan Officers

  • Click the Loan Officer Selector tab

Choose An LO

In the "Loan officer selector" tab, choose the LO(s) of interest.

Step 1: Use the global filters to narrow down the list of LOs in the bottom table. See details filtering options below. You can filter by geography, loan type, transaction type, and more—and then sort by loan count, loan volume, or MMCT/LMI percentages.

  • Scroll through the list to see details such as:

    • Loan officer name and location

    • Employer

    • Number of transactions

    • Total volume

    • Average loan size

    • Contact information (phone and email)

Step 2: The filtered list from the table will populate in the LO selection dropdown. Choose one or more LOs to focus on. The data in the rest of the dashboard will be filtered to just the selected LO(s).

Step 3 (Optional): Further filter the LO results by lender(s).

Once the LO(s) is/are chosen in the top dropdown, you can view the other tabs, which will reflect the chosen LO(s).

4. Analyze Business Metrics

  • On the loan selector tab, you can scroll right to see the following metrics for each loan officer:

    • Percent of business in MMCTs

    • Percent of business in low to moderate income or (LMI) census tracts

    • Breakdown of business by purchase, refinance, and equity

    • Volume percentage of purchase, refinance, and equity

    • Percent of government vs. conventional loans

5. Review Relationships and Transactions

Click on any of the blue tabs (Activity, Relationships, etc.) to view more details about the chosen LO(s).

  • Check how many lenders the loan officer has worked with

  • See the number of listing and buyer agents they have worked with

  • Determine the percentage of transactions that are local

Access the Relationships tab to see all transactions associated with that officer. You can view:

  • All transactions done

  • Listing agents worked with

  • Buyer agents worked with

  • Their emails and phone numbers (scroll right to see details)

Activity

The "Activity" tab is where you can view loan data for the selected LO(s). This data is also filtered by the global filters at the top. These filters can be turned off or changed in this view to customize the data displayed in the tables and charts.

Originations at a Glance

This table shows originations for the selected LO(s), based on the chosen filters. In the above screenshot, we're seeing loans for one chosen LO (name blurred), only loans in Iowa, only loans for residential properties, and across all the years in the dashboard (in this case, 2020-2025).

Originations By County

Based on geographic filters, this map will zoom and display loans (again, just for this individual LO) as a heat map, with darker counties indicating higher loan counts.

Trend of Loan Count

In the bottom table, we're seeing (again, just for this individual LO) loans by quarter categorized by CRA income level. This chart can be adjust to show loan volume as well as percent of loans or loan volume.

The middle dropdown can be changed to categorize data in this chart by quarter, year, month, or state.

The third dropdown is where you choose which parameter you want the chart segmented by. For example, CRA income level (shown above), loan type, MMCT, and more.

Relationships

The "Relationships" tab is where you can see lenders, brokers, and real estate partners the selected LO(s) has/have worked with, that apply under the global filters. Again, you can adjust these filters from this view to change the data displayed.

Loan Export

To explore loan details, you can go to the Loans Export tab to view all transactions for the selected loan officer. This table will provide detailed loan transaction information.

6. Save/Export Loan Officer Information

  • To save the displayed information, hover over the table and click the share button.

  • Choose to save as an Excel file for easy access and sharing

  • When saving, rename the file via File → Save As for easy identification (make sure you rename the file to something that you will remember)
