In this article and accompanying video, we will guide you through the process of creating your customized dashboard, tailored to display critical business information that you need to monitor regularly.

Example of a Custom Dashboard

Before diving into the creation process, let's take a look at an example of what a custom dashboard might entail.

Creating and Editing a Dashboard

Creating a dashboard is a straightforward process. Users with the necessary permissions can create up to 5 unique dashboards. To begin, simply click on "Add Dashboard" located in the top-right corner.

At any point, you can edit a dashboard by selecting the desired dashboard and clicking on "Edit Dashboard" in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Additionally, dashboards can be deleted by then clicking "Delete".

Adding a Widget to Your Dashboard

Once you've created a dashboard, you can start building it by adding various widgets to visualize different aspects of your business.

To add a widget, select the dashboard you wish to enhance and click on "Add Widget."

This action will prompt a new window where you can add a widget. The process consists of three steps:

Step 1: Choose your widget type, which represents the broad category of data to be

visualized. You'll then have the option to select a specific widget view, offering various graphs and charts related to the chosen widget type.

Step 2: Depending on the selected widget view, additional options will be available. For example, if you choose the "Slot Types" widget type, you can specify which slot types should appear on the graph during this step. Additionally, you may select a period and data view for some widgets.

Step 3: Customize the widget by providing a title and subtitle. You can also select a colour scheme or create a custom one. Choose whether the widget appears in light or dark mode.

Click "Save" to add the widget to your dashboard.

Editing and Removing Widgets

To edit a widget, simply click on the pencil icon next to the title. While you cannot modify the widget type or view once it's inserted into a dashboard, you can adjust its settings and further customize it.

To delete a widget, click on the trash can icon in the top-left corner of the window.

Changing the Layout of Your Dashboard

You have the flexibility to rearrange and resize the dashboard to suit your preferences. To rearrange, drag and drop the widget's title within the grid. To resize, hover your mouse over the edge of the widget, then click and drag to adjust its size.

Note: Some widgets have pre-set maximum and minimum sizes.
