Overview
The Meddbase integration lets you push Motics notes straight into a patient’s record in Meddbase. Because each Meddbase workspace is unique, setup requires cooperation between you, the Motics team and Meddbase support. This guide explains what information you’ll need and how the process works.
Prerequisites
A Motics account with Admin rights
A Meddbase tenant with API access enabled
Approval from both Motics and Meddbase to activate the integration
Step 1 – Request the integration
Open the chat widget in Motics and tell us you’d like to enable Meddbase.
We’ll confirm your Motics workspace ID and ask for your Meddbase tenant name.
Motics will contact Meddbase on your behalf (or you can raise a ticket) to approve API use.
Step 2 – Obtain Meddbase API credentials
Once Meddbase approves the request they’ll provide:
API Base URL (e.g.
https://api.mytenant.meddbase.com)Client ID
Client Secret
Keep these credentials secure—treat them like passwords.
Step 3 – Enter credentials in Motics
In Motics, go to Settings → Integrations → Meddbase.
Paste the Client ID, Client Secret and API Base URL.
Click Verify. Motics will test the connection and list practitioners.
Select the practitioner profile that matches your Motics user and click Save.
Toggle the integration to Active.
Step 4 – Push a note to Meddbase
Open any session note in Motics.
Click Push to Meddbase.
Search for the patient by name or MRN.
Select the patient record and click Send.
Open Meddbase → Patient → Clinical Notes to confirm the note is attached.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
Credential verification failed
Double-check the API URL and that the Client ID/Secret haven’t expired.
Patient not found
Ensure the patient exists in Meddbase or create them first.
Formatting looks off
Meddbase supports basic rich text. Headings and lists are preserved; advanced styling may be simplified.
