VALD Integration Setup and Use

Written by Dr. Harvinder Power

Overview

The VALD Performance integration lets you attach objective assessment data to Scribe sessions and summaries.

When VALD assessments are attached, Motics treats them as objective external measurement data. Numeric values should be preserved and attributed to VALD rather than treated as spoken transcript content.

What you need

  • VALD API access enabled for your organisation.

  • VALD client ID.

  • VALD client secret.

  • VALD region.

  • VALD tenant.

  • Motics access to Settings -> Integrations.

Request VALD API access

If you do not already have VALD API credentials:

  1. Find your organisation ID in VALD Hub.

  2. Email VALD support at support@vald.com and request External API access.

  3. Complete the VALD API License Agreement if required.

  4. Use the VALD welcome email to retrieve your client ID and client secret.

Connect VALD in Motics

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Go to Integrations.

  3. Open VALD Performance.

  4. Enter your client ID and client secret.

  5. Choose your region:

  • Australia East.

  • United States East.

  • Europe West.

  1. Choose the tenant if Motics finds multiple tenants.

  2. Save the integration.

Attach VALD assessments to a session

  1. Open the Scribe session.

  2. Open the Assessments area.

  3. Search VALD profiles and assessments.

  4. Attach the relevant assessments.

You can attach up to 5 VALD assessments to a session.

Troubleshooting

If VALD does not connect:

  • Confirm your client ID and client secret.

  • Confirm the correct region.

  • Confirm the tenant.

  • Confirm VALD API access is active.

  • Ask VALD support whether your credentials include profile search and assessment list access.
