Organisation SSO Login and Setup Basics

Overview

Organisation SSO lets approved users sign in with their work email through your organisation identity provider.

Motics supports service-provider-initiated SAML SSO through Firebase Authentication and Google Identity Platform.

Sign in with organisation SSO

  1. Click Sign in with organisation SSO.

  2. Enter your work email address.

  3. Complete sign-in with your organisation identity provider.

If your email domain is mapped to an organisation SSO provider, Motics returns you to the app after sign-in.

Sign up with organisation SSO

  1. Click Sign up with organisation SSO.

  2. Enter your work email address.

  3. Complete your organisation sign-in.

  4. If your identity provider does not send first and last name, Motics may ask you to complete your profile before continuing.

If Motics cannot find your SSO organisation

This usually means your email domain has not been mapped to an active organisation SSO provider.

Contact your organisation admin or Motics support and include:

  • Your work email domain.

  • Organisation name.

  • Screenshot of the SSO error.

  • Whether you were using login or sign-up.

Admin setup basics

Your identity provider team will normally need these values from Motics:

  • Identifier / Entity ID: usually your Motics app origin or configured service provider entity ID.

  • Reply URL / ACS: the Firebase or custom auth domain callback URL ending in /__/auth/handler.

Motics SSO is SP-initiated. Users should start from Motics login or sign-up, not from an IdP-only launch tile unless your Motics setup explicitly supports that route.
