How do I track the weight for unilateral exercises?

Here's how you can track dumbbell exercises or other unilateral machine workouts.

When tracking unilateral exercises, you record the weight for one side.

For instance, if you're doing dumbbell bench presses and you're using 90 lbs dumbbells on each side, then you record 90 lbs.


Another example: if you're doing incline biceps curls and you're using 20 lbs dumbbells for each arm, then you record 20 lbs for this exercise.
